One place each day... my personnel challenge:-)

This is the deal... I love exploring new places in SL, thing is I didn't do it for a very long time. But as of today I will explore one place everyday. This is my starter... kinda strange place.
But how do I explore? Well for me the best is 'showcase', it got a lot of different tabs like: popular places, editor's pick, miscallaneos, strange and magical, real life and so on... so I find 'Showcase' ideal for my quest.
Also there are some blogs who post about new places too but... I like to be inventive if you know what I mean *winks
So this is my first sim tonight called: Forgotten toys by Romy Nayar, found it in 'showcase', under 'editors Pick'.
It's a strange place, it's about toys but like giant toys... most of the time I can put a feeling into places but this was hard to put feeling into it... it did not scare me, it did not move me, it didn't make me sad, it didn't make me happy... well since I can't explain it I will copy/paste here what they say about it:

'Romy Nayar is at work once again! Following her work Papermakis, she now brings us the exhibit Forgotten Toys, a spectacle not to be missed. Explore the darker side of toys and marvel at the giant-sized objects crafted in this unique sim.'

Belgium, Pukkelpop 2011

I normally don't write about my RL here but for this I like to make an exception. I live in Belgium and during the summer there are a lot of live concerts organised. This summer the weather was... well not really concertlike. Yesterday was the start of a four day concert called Pukkelpop, everybody was excited cause the weatherman forecasted great weather.
It started sunny, the concertground was getting full with people who just love great music, nice scenery, sun, relaxing..
All these people were trying to find a spot to put down their little tent.. they did, they were happy, excited, ready for four days of great music.

I was at home watching tv before I would log into SL, just relaxing.. I tuned my tv on the news and what I got to see just filled me with terror.

The news I saw was at 7.oo pm, the reporter was talking about Pukkelpop... a storm came over the concertgrounds 2 hours ago, a concert tent collapsed, a lighting tower was dragged down by the wind, people running around in panic, people killed, people injured...

I was watching this in total horror cause my daughter was out there... She left on wednesday with a bunch of friends for Pukkelpop, she and her friends were so looking forward to it, sun, music, fun!!!
Last night I probably experienced the worst two hours of my life... I could not reach her, I could not reach her friends, I could not reach parents... the emergency number was constantly occupied.

After two hours of total panick and horror and worry I finally got a text from her telling me she was OK and on her way home.
When she came home I just ran out the door and hold her so closely, so tight and we both cried.

She is home safe, the concert is cancelled out of the respect for the victims... but some parents have now lost their children, or their children are fighting for their life or their children are injured.

Like the headlines say in the newspapers 'this is a black day in the history of live music concerts', it is.

I was lucky, my daughter is safe but I feel for the victims and their parents and friends.

So, this is what I wanted to tell, I just needed to write this down.
Sending my love and thoughts to the parents who have lost a child out there.

Going retro

Nice hey... this retro tv comes from 'Artillery', not very low prim though. A lot of stuff in my house comes from there because I just love retro:-)))
The picture of Audrey Hepburn I just downloaded from the internet and I have put a frame on it with the free frame wizard (a very cool gadget I must say, I have used it a lot already).

I adore my cooker;-)

This cooker I found at 'Dench Design'. All their stuff is super low prim... so I LOVE Dench design;-)
It has an open/close door feature and you can put out/on the fire.
Can't wait to cook my first diner for me and Max:-)))

An art piece I just love

I just love this item in my house. This cute little mannequin with flower comes from 'Facts'. Elise creates just the cutest stuff. She recently moved the store so I don't have a landmark yet, but you can see her stuff on her blog http://eliseonmurasfacts.blogspot.com/
Just keep on creating Elise:-)))

Time to show my new house:-)))

This is it, finally found my dreamhouse.. well for now;-) I am turning into a real house addict and Max is going crazy. I think I had about 3 or 4 houses in one month lol. But this one is my fav... like I said, for now...

The horses are still here:-)

The porch with rocking bench

The kitchen:-)

My husbands desk

The livingroom

My fav place, the greenhouse:-)

Almost all the stuff you see comes from Artillery and LISP bazaar. Those shops are just totally awesome:-)

And then there were....... FIVE!!!

So I started with one meeroo... thought she would be lonely so bought another one. Apple and Pie were happy with me and I was happy with them but I would not be Wolvie if I did not try something else;-)
I told myself I would not breed with them...But thought it would be nice to have a male there too:-)

I bought a male meeroo... I did have no idea how the breeding worked, I kinda thougth you had to do something special with them or with the hud, I simply did not know.

So this is Chip my male meeroo. I rezzed him one night and the same night he managed to let Pie fall in love with him. The next day I logged on there was a nest, OMG... Seems I did not have to do anything, meeroos just fall in love and make a nest;-)
I had no idea what to do with it, so I clicked it, choose 'coax' and 120 seconds later 'Sticky' was born:-)))

I thought well a little baby meeroo is so cute. But I forgot about Chip's libido... the night before last night he managed to let Apple fall in love... I logged on... again a nest, OMG
Anyway, last night I clicked the nest, choose 'coax' and 120 seconds later 'Mousie' was born:-)))

Yeah, yeah, sucking up to me now are you,Chip! I hope you are satisfied now for a while;-)

And then there were... FIVE meeroos: Apple, Pie, Chip, Sticky and Mousie and... I love everyone of them:-)))

Going out to dance

This was something we hadn't done in ages, going out to dance... The other day I bought a new gown and asked Max I would love to go out and dance with him. Since it had been a while we really didn't have a clue where to go...
until...

I thought of some place which I haven't visited in a long time. So we headed out to Phat Cats Jazz club, it looks totally different than I could remember and what struck me the most was the lack of lag. I remember in the early days it was very hard to walk let alone dance at Phat Cats. But now it's  just awesome, so if you like to go dancing check out Phat Cats:-)

After Phat Cats I remembered another place where I used to go, Frank's Place, it also changed ofcourse and it was a lot more crowded than Phat Cats and a little more lag but also very nice and worth checking out:-)

Wolvie's outfit:

Sometimes we just need a break:-)

We have been working hard on our land. I bought another house, decorating it, Max bought some offshore reefs... I love those offshore reefs a lot, it just gives another dimension to the land and horizon. But we can't keep working all the time, so we took a little break in this cute little boat:-)))
