Going back to my challenge '1 place each day'

I started this challenge some weeks ago, but I kinda stopped. Why? Well, I was just random searching in 'showcase', but it took too long, my time is limited in SL.
But I have a new strategy that might just work for me. I go into 'showcase', take the first list and work my way through all of the lists (12), guess I will have blog material for a year this way... or even more *grins

So tonight the first:
'Showcase'
'Featured event'

I think it's a place where they do Life shows... but I'm not sure, since nobody was there...I have no clue, lol
But this is what 'showcase' says about this venue:

A trio of the top Second Life rockers goes acoustic at Boom Pony Music Club. Join Allister Westland, Anj Gustafson and Troy Shoreland (a.k.a. Darkshore) in this small intimate basement setting on Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. (Pacific).

Since I won't be here at that time (Europe), go over there and let me know if it's any good;-)

Two more dogs instead of one ;-)

Tonight was a good night for Zooby pet shop;-) I told Max I saw this super cute little dog at Zooby's, so he told me to TP him over there.
Said and done, I told him he should guess what little dog I love the most... but he got distracted with IM's... so he bought the 'wrong' dog for me. The German Shephard, I love it but it was not my first choice. And I guess he felt a little bad with buying the 'wrong' dog for me, so he asked me which I like most.
I showed him the pettable beagle puppy, I told him I would get it but before I knew he bought it also for me.... I love my Max.
So now I have like 8 meeroos (Apple, Pie, Mousie, Peeceetje, Wolf, Big Max, Brat and last but not least Legolas), 4 dogs (Typo, Badass, Lupus and Roosje) Max' dog (Poetslap), 1 cat (Billy) and Max' cat (Blondie)... will this zoo ever stop???
I don't think so, I just love animals...

I'm a lyer

Yes I lied to Max, I told him tonight I would stop with eight meeroos and really I was convinced of myself... until I got these group notices of a big sale.
Max went off so I thought, well some window shopping never hurts anyone, right? So I went to the sale but oh oh oh oh oh... I should have not done that.
I fell in love with this meeroo instantly, I had no money... so I had to go to main (she is my bank institution since a year, lol), and get me some Lindens. I acted really fast because a lot of people were wandering the shop and I was so stressed out someone else would buy it.
So I got back really fast with my Lindens and bought my dream Meeroo:-)))

I have eight meeroos now, this one is the ninth but the most special. And I will tell you why. He is male *grins, he is mischeavous *grins, he looks like an elf *smiles and I love elves. His names is Legolas after the elf in the book/movie 'Lord of the rings', that character was my fav:-)))
But I don't really want nests anymore but I fear Legolas will do his best to charm my girl meeroos... we will see:-)
As you can see Legolas is a true charmer.... *winks

I want a bike!!!!

Motor Loon is probably... no for sure the best motorcycle builder in SL. Yesterday I first visited his racetrack 'Motorworld', and tried one of the testbikes and ended up in the ocean, yeh I need some practice... but then I thougth why not pay a visit to his shop..

What I found most fun was that he has a workshop at the back of his store...

with men at work... but pfff, my charmes could not bring them to stop working for a while and have a little chat with me...

Ok, if you guys won't talk to me I go just wander around in the shop to try to find a bike I like..

and oh boy... did I like!!!! Love the black Sprinter and

Love the yellow racemachine (this one is not from Motor Loon though)...

What shall I get????

Ever tried to pick up seven meeroos at the same time?

I just did..

What a mess LOL

Pfff... Show Off!!!!

Yesterday Max showed off his new mountainbike pfffff.... I only have a Dutch citybike I picked up for free long time ago in Amsterdam. But, we raced our mountains and, ok I did not win but I surely could keep up with that fancy new mountainbike *grins

Hellion's space ship!

I'm married to a nerd and my best friend is one too, they both love to build stuff in SL unlike me, I rather go shopping for stuff *winks
Anyway, since my 'Explore 1 place each day challenge' is not working too well (pure lazyness), I explored Hellion's new building project... Dude!!!! A spaceship, OMG!! What the hell are you gonna do with a spaceship??? Well I did not ask him that question.. I will some day.
He gave me a tour and I must say it's cool, it did miss some parts but that was not his fault, SL was being its bugging self again, grrr.
Nice job, big guy:-))

Big Daddy's 80s club!

Darn, I'm killing my own challenge (explore one place each day), already skipped a day, well I just had to attend to some RL issues yesterday so forgive me:-)
Anyways, I like to tell you something about this club 'Big Daddy's 80s club'. I have known this club all my SL but I kinda lost it through the years. Since Max is not online very much these days I must keep myself busy;-) So I wanted to visit some clubs... I go on search, type in 'club' OMG.... I did not know where to start but suddenly I remembered this club I frequently visited with my other ava (which is now deleted).
Big Daddy's 80s club. I typed that in search and BANG, there was it... I tp'ed over and BANG there I was. The scenery changed ofcourse but the people and the music was still as nice and great as I remembered, so I did stay there for a while and had a great time:-))
It might be not the most beautiful club in SL but it's certainly the most newbie-friendly, the most relaxing, the most down to earth and with great 80s music club:-)))

They even allow those 'gestures' we all like to do and not admit it to ourselves;-)

Ehm... ok I like to take pics from nice looking boys *grins

Keep on going Big Daddy's 80s club!!!

It is a challenge... exploring one place each day... but here is the next one;-)

Hotel Chelsea in Manhattan, again in 'showcase', 'editors pic', was my next stop today. I like old buildings with a history, I live in a country which is famous for old buildings so...
This is cool but I must warn you all... so laggy... but worth a visit if you have a lot of patience;-)

 figures... grr

ok let's try this elevator

WTF??? rats!!! ok I'm outta here

Rats or not, here some history of this hotel in Manhattan:

On August 2nd 2011, The Hotel was sold and closed down.  For more information you can read about it here: http://www.chelseahotelblog.com/living_with_legends_the_h/And in the NYTimes :  http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/01/nyregion/historic-chelsea-hotel-closes-to-guests.html?_r=1

It is a sad day in the History of the Hotel Chelsea.

The hotel has always been a center of artistic and bohemian activity and it houses artwork created by many of the artists who have visited. The hotel was the first building to be listed by New York City as a cultural preservation site and historic building of note.

The twelve-story red-brick building that now houses the Hotel Chelsea was built in 1883, and opened in 1884 as one of the city's first private apartment cooperatives.  At the time Chelsea, and particularly the street on which the hotel was located, was the center of New York's Theater District. However, within a few years the combination of economic worries and the relocation of the theaters bankrupted the Chelsea cooperative. In 1905, the building was purchased and opened as a hotel. Since 1946, the hotel has been managed by the Bard family, and until recently was run by 72-year-old Stanley Bard who took over as managing director from his father in 1955. [2]On June 18, 2007, the hotel's board of directors ousted Bard as the hotel's manager. Marlene Krauss, a doctor who is the chief executive of KBL Healthcare Ventures, and David Elder, one of the heirs of an original owner who lives in California, replaced Stanley Bard with management company BD Hotels NY, L.L.C., who have since been terminated. Residents are fighting to return the Bards, as managers and majority shareholders, to the Chelsea Hotel and have mounted a campaign of banners, art pranks and other protests toward this end.

Owing to its long list of famous guests and residents, the hotel has an ornate history, both as a birth place of creative modern art and punctuated by tragedy catching the public eye. Sir Arthur C. Clarke wrote 2001: A Space Odyssey while staying at the Chelsea, and poets Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso and Richard and Rebecca Eller chose it as a place for philosophical and intellectual exchange. It is also known as the place where the writer Dylan Thomas was staying when he died of alcohol poisoning on November 4, 1953, and where Nancy Spungen, girlfriend of Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, was found stabbed to death on October 12, 1978
