Bad hair day

I honestly thought only women could have a bad hair day, but here is proof, even men can have one. Poor Max *grins

or are men really terrible in dressing up??? Anyways, Max had an outfit for our wedding but in the end I didn't like it so much;-)

So I almost forced him today to go shopping with me, but as sweet as he is, he did. Here you see him trying on his suit and me watching.... can it be more relaxed?? *grins

We decided to change our land after we got married. We both like changes, so today we went house hunting. Max has a castle, I have a cottage. I have no idea what he will come up with but I wanted to go look to the Galland Houses to see if he got some new things there.

And oh yes, he did... a beautiful, huge cottage, very lofty like... but we kept on wandering his place and suddenly I saw this cute stable. We have a lot of animals including horses... so like I said 'looking for a house and ending up with a .... stable' for the horses:-)))

Yes, I am getting married to Max in SL on July 9th. I was married once in RL, and I think once is enough, but I never got married in SL before.

Getting married in SL is a lot like getting married in RL, a lot of things to organize, to think about.. sometimes stressy as the date comes closer. But we got all covered I think lol. We got the venue (our place), we got the photographer (my best friend Gixxx), we got the priest (Manita), I got my groomsman (Hellion), Max got his bridesmaid (Fia). Yes we do this backwords lol... we won't have the 'traditional' wedding in SL with 100 bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Our wedding will be intimate and the way we like it, close friends and family with a little twist;-)

Anyways today we were looking for the perfect bouquet and... we found it:-)))

The lost gardens of Apollo are..... Lost

Wolverine has not been that long in SL, this is a new Avi... but I have been in SL since 2007 so I know 'The Lost Gardens of Apollo' very well. Wolverine has never been there. Yesterday I read that sim will close in a few days. I just had to go there with Max. Wolverine her first and last time at the Lost Gardens of Apollo. It was strange... first we danced, I told Max I needed to see all, so we flew around and ended up at those famous Apollo benches. We sat there for a while listening to the conversations people had in local chat, we joined them for a while. But suddenly I wanted to go, I felt depressed a bit. I see a lot of old sims closing due to the high prices Lindens ask for land. They are not smart, they chase people away to other 'games'... I love Second Life so much, it became a part of my RL life, but if the Lindens go on and on this way, in a couple of years there won't be any residents left to build there dreamworld. They will all leave and find another virtual place where they can be creative and happy. So a warning to the Lindens... Dudes, you are going the wrong way here, lower your prices and we all be back!!!

As for the Lost Gardens of Apollo, it's sad, that place is pure nostalgy...but life goes on even for the creator Dane. I want to thank Dane for giving so much to us SL people, you created a dream that is now going to sleep. Thank You Dane!!!

Today I have made two decisions concerning my blog...drums playing....

First: I started this blog in Dutch because I am Flemish. Call it love for my country or love for my language, but during time and reading a lot of other blogs I realized this wasn't very smart. All the blogs I have read were in English. Many of my SL friends are English/USA. So today I decided to post in English from now on, I mean everybody can read English but not everybody can read Dutch;-). I'm not a native English speaker/writer but I will do my best:-)

Second: I like nice clothes/outfits in RL and SL. I'm not a fashionista, not at all but I love reading SL fashion blogs and I loooooveeeee shopping *winks. From time to time when I wander SL people ask me: 'where did you get that dress?', 'That is nice hair, where did you get it?', 'You have some LM's for nice clothing shops?'. When people ask me this in-world I always give them my LM's, but today I thought it would be kinda fun if I put the LM's of my outfits on my blog. Not that I'm going to start a SL Fashion blog, there are to many of those going around already.

So what I will do is this. At the bottom of each post I will put a little item called 'Wolvie's outfit', explaining what I'm wearing with the LM's linked:-) How about that? Nice of me isn't it *grins

Meerroos: een nieuw schattig diertje in Second Life

Ik kan toch zo een klein meisje zijn soms (ik vrees dat dit nooit weggaat). Ik had al van deze diertjes gehoord en ook gezien op verschillende blogs. Het zijn weer fokdieren zoals we hadden in sl: de kippen, de schildpadden, de paarden... Ik ben vandaag gaan kijken naar de Meeroo Sim en echt... ik ben verkocht, ze zijn superschattig, maken zo'n lieve geluidjes en je hoeft er niet mee te fokken, je kan ze ook gewoon als huisdiertje houden zoals onze honden en katten. Spijtig hebben we op dit moment niet genoeg prims om er eentje te houden (ze hebben ook eten en accomodatie nodig), maar later...

Jaja Max, maak je borst maar nat, binnenkort heb ik mijn eigenste sprookjesdiertje....goh kan bijna niet wachten:-)))

Claira and Kai at Leords (this is again an English post)

Well.. Leords is a sim which I and Max (more me) frequently visit because we simply like it. Leords is a bdsm sim, so Masters, Mistresses and boys and girls gather there... some get collared, some not, it's a very friendly sim even for new residents in Second Life, of course this sim as others has to deal with assholes but the owners deal with them fair and swift.

I especially like Leords because the people over there do not judge, they take you for what you are. You can go there looking like a movie star but you can go there looking like shitt, they do not judge anyone, that is why I love it and why I keep going back.

Also it is one of the few sims where there is still interaction between the people (more and more sims are crowded but nobody talks to one an other).

So today I was there again and saw Claira and Kai with those lovely pale skins, I asked them if I could take their picture and they said, 'sure'... and I did (hope you guys like it). But that is what I mean with an open and friendly sim. If you stay nice, they are nice... and I will keep on going there:-)))

To the owners of Leords: Keep up the good work!!!!

Goh... ik was een beetje overdonderd gisterenavond. Er stonden ineens twee Masters voor mijn neus, twee KNAPPE Masters. Hmmmmm... wie zal ik opeten????

Toch even moeten gaan nadenken over dat dilemma.... zonsondergang brengt altijd raad, ik ga ze gewoon allebei opeten *grijns (ze zien er allebei yummy uit!)
